Helen Teixeira is a Seattle-based abstract artist working in acrylics and mixed media. Helen has been painting on and off since high school while raising a family, and professionally for the past decade. Helen has a degree in advertising with a minor in art from San Jose State University. Helen has exhibited in solo shows and online exhibitions, served for two years on the Redmond Arts and Culture Commission, and was a guest lecturer at Bellevue College on color theory and abstract art. Her work is known for its layered, tactile surfaces, built through an experimental process involving catalyst tools, texturing mediums, and unconventional tools.
